The Announcement
The incongruously intimate story of a 1963 Turkish army coup attempt allows Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun the scope to take his mordant wit to new heights in his deadly serious yet deeply sardonic third feature, “The Announcement.” Rigidly composed fixed camera shots designed to heighten the atmosphere of entrapment do double duty as a self-reflexive commentary on the nature of characters who follow orders with no thought, while the stationary lens amusingly parallels the deadpan humor. The Announcement
Our London-based sound Technician Murat Celikkol has earned Melodika London worldwide acknowledge thanks to his terrific sound design on director Mahmut Fazıl Coskun's latest film, The Announcement. The World Premiere of the film was made at The International Venice Film Festival. Highly regarded by the critics, the film returned home with the Special Jury Prize given by the Venice Horizons Committee.

Melodika London was at the 2nd London Turkish Film Week. A week of celebrated Turkish filmmakers met their International audiences at the Regent Street Cinema in London. Melodika London celebrated the success of its chain company Melodika Istanbul. Works including on the films, Çiçero, Yozgat Blues, and Turkish Ice Cream.
